Graham Taylor, author, Sheffield, Shadowmancer
- Profession: Author
Graham Taylor
God really must be smiling on him. It wasn’t so long ago that Graham Taylor was just a vicar in the tiny parish of Cloughton near Scarborough but now he is an author set to rival J.K Rowling.
Rev. Taylor is no stranger to trying new things though, in his time he has been a policeman, a social worker and has worked in the music industry but his latest venture has been his most successful yet. With critical acclaim from UK press ranging from local Yorkshire papers to the Telegraph and the Independent, Graham Taylor’s first children’s novel, Shadowmancer, has become an instant classic.
It is reported that Graham has been paid in the region on £2.5m for the film rights to his story, and fellow Sheffield man Sean Bean has been approached to have a starring role. Apparently Graham is determined to have fellow Blades fan Sean in the role, saying he imagined him in the part as he was writing the novel.
Graham Taylor continues to live in Cloughton and split his time between his clergy and his new life as an author
